What is the difference between Cheque book and Pass book?

 Cheque book is issued by bank in customers / account holder request. With the help of this book account holder can withdraw cash from his/her account. Bank does not charge any fee to issued cheque book to its customer. But afterward bank charges some amount for using bank facility like cheque book, Debit card etc.So, Automatic some definite amount deducted from customer bank account.

Pass book is  also issued by bank to its customer. It helps to record all the bank related activity according to date that is withdrawal and deposit. It is recorded by bank but the book is kept by customer to know the current balance of  his /her account.

What is the meaning of pass book and cheque book?

Passbook is a book in which all withdrawal and deposit against customer account is recorded.

 Cheque book is a book of cheques which are used to withdrawal the money to bank account.

Who issued passbook and cheque book?

Passbook is issued by bank to his/her customer for opening an account.

Cheque book is also issued by bank after customer’s request.

Whose sign is needed to make a passbook and cheques valid?

No one sign is needed in passbook to make it valid.

Bank account holder or customer sign is valid for whom cheque book is given to make a withdrawal from his/her account.

In passbook all transactions are recorded by computer through banker.

In cheque first of all the name of person is mention to whom cash is given by bank. Date of making a cheque is also written, the amount of cash withdrawal in numbers and in words both are mentioned on it. In last the sign of cheque drawer is mentioned in right side of cheque.

What is the purpose of cheque book and passbook?

Passbook helps to maintain the all deposit and withdrawal activity in one bank account. So, the bank account holder knows the current balance in his/her account. And also inform the bank if any transaction is not done by him/her.

Cheque book help to withdraw big and small amount of cash from own bank account.

Where is passbook and cheque book used ?

The statement of deposits and withdrawal of 6 months act as a valid identity proof in various field to make a government documents.

What is written in cheque book and passbook?

In passbook first page customer/ bank account holder name has written, account number, address of customer. IFSC code and branch code also written on it.

In cheque book there is a page in which you mention whom, when, and how much amount is withdrawn. The cheque number is also mention on it by cheque holder
